Matthew Rae is the Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for Perth–Wellington, dedicated to serving his community and ensuring that residents have easy access to provincial government services. Raised on a dairy farm near Harriston, Matthew's strong work ethic and commitment to service were ingrained from a young age. He is proud to continue this legacy of service in his role as MPP.

As a third-generation graduate of Norwell District Secondary School and an alumnus of the University of Guelph and the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, Matthew brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his position. Before his election in June 2022, he worked for an education non-profit focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), and entrepreneurship, and held positions with both John Nater, MP, and former MPP Randy Pettapiece.

Matthew's office is dedicated to helping constituents navigate provincial government services. Whether you need assistance with health cards, driver’s licenses, Ontario Works, ODSP, WSIB, OSAP, or other provincial programs, Matthew and his team are here to help. They also provide congratulatory certificates for significant milestones and are available to attend community events, bringing greetings on behalf of the Government of Ontario.

Matthew is an active member of the Perth–Wellington community, serving on local boards and committees. When he’s not working or volunteering, you can find him enjoying the great outdoors—hiking, skiing, or camping. Matthew is also a proud first-time homeowner in Mitchell, where he and his partner Meghan are building their future together.
