Practical Art began in 1992 as a company that built custom furniture by Michael McNeil.  The company was doing well but it was not until Michael teamed up with Steve Pietens that the magic of Practical Art really started to take shape. Together they changed the business direction and began creating a large line of metal artwork with some of the items you still see today. The foundation of the business was to create unique metal artwork that also serves a practical purpose. This is why the business is called Practical Art.
